In fact, according to the 2016 Houzz Kitchen Trends Survey, some 60% of homeowners spend more than three hours a day in their kitchens. Among those polled by Houzz, 15% said they spent more than $75,000 to transform their kitchens into high-end activity hubs.

Hardwood is also highly durable, low-maintenance and, with the right sealant, moisture resistant. For open floor concepts, hardwood also works well in both kitchens and living creating a unified visual appeal.
